Wolf Popper LLP Files Additional Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit Against Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation and TriZetto Provider Solutions, LLC
Wolf Popper LLP has filed a second class action complaint that seeks to represent a putative class of all persons whose personally identifying information and protected health information (collectively, “Private Information”) was accessed in the data breach of TriZetto’s system, as well as subclasses in Massachusetts, Michigan, North Dakota, and New Hampshire. Similar to the first complaint filed by Wolf Popper in the Madoff action, the new complaint alleges that TriZetto and Cognizant failed to take adequate measures to protect the Private Information of their provider clients and patients, allowing unauthorized actors to access the Private Information of more than 3.4 million individuals since November 2024.
The new matter is Billingslea et al. v.Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation et al., No.: 2:26-cv-03394, currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
