Wolf Popper LLP is investigating a data breach affecting Unlimited Technology Systems, LLC (“Unlimited”) that may have exposed the personal and health information of approximately 3.8 million individuals.
Unlimited Technology Systems provides practice management software and other services to healthcare providers. This means that the information exposed in the breach may belong to patients of healthcare providers who use Unlimited’s services, even if those patients have never heard of Unlimited.
On October 19, 2025, Unlimited discovered that someone had accessed its computer systems without authorization. The company later determined that the person had accessed files containing personal and health information between October 5, 2025, and October 10, 2025.
The information potentially exposed in the data breach varies from person to person but may include names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, email and mailing addresses, phone numbers, demographic information, health insurance policy numbers, health insurance claims or benefits information, medical record numbers, dates of service, diagnosis information, driver’s licenses or other government-issued identification, insurance cards, and intake forms.
Unlimited states that the data breach did not involve full patient medical records, medical imaging, or financial information such as credit card or bank account numbers.
Because Unlimited provides services to healthcare providers, the information involved in the data breach may belong to patients of those providers. When personal and health information is exposed, it can put individuals at risk of identity theft, financial fraud, medical identity theft, and insurance fraud.
