Wolf Popper, Platinum Sponsors, proudly has Of Counsel, Adam Savett, to Speak at the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association (FPPTA) 2026 Winter Trustee School taking place February 1-4, 2026 at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, FL.

The session will be addressing the topic of "Roles & Responsibilities Related to Securities Litigation." It will take place Monday, February 2, 2026 from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm in the Exchange Learning room. Joining Adam Savett on the panel will be Dwight Mattingly of Palm Tran, Inc. Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1577 Pension Plan, Brent Chudachek of Lorium Law, PLLC and Mark Rhein of Salem Trust Company.


When it comes to securities litigation, there is a great deal of confusion and misinformation as to who should be doing what both internally at a fund and the roles that external vendors can and should play. This session will bring together the various players on one stage and help you sort out who’s on first. Knowing who can and should perform the various roles will help you as a fiduciary to oversee your internal and external participants and to ensure that nothing is slipping through the cracks.

We will learn the roles that various participants (e.g. fund staff / fund trustees / general counsel / custodian bank / securities litigation firms) play in helping funds to safeguard their portfolios and recover losses that were caused by fraud or mismanagement.
