IMPORTANT UPDATE: After the settlement was approved by the judge with support from the class and 18 state attorneys general who had objected to an earlier version of the settlement, on June 18, 2026, one class member who objected to the settlement filed a Notice of Appeal of the Final Order & Judgment approving the settlement. The appeal seeks to rescind the settlement and return the matter to litigation. As a result of the appeal, any payments to class members from the settlement fund or in the form of increased interest as provided by the settlement will be substantially delayed (potentially over one year). Class counsel continues to believe the settlement is overwhelmingly favorable to the class and that the appeal is meritless. We will give periodic updates on the settlement website of any significant appeal-related developments.
