Marshall G. Bennett, Of Counsel, Retires After 22 Exemplary Years at Wolf Popper LLP

Firm News | 12/30/2025

Wolf Popper LLP congratulates Marshall G. Bennett, Of Counsel, on his retirement after 22 years with the firm and a career defined by law, public service, leadership, and advocacy.

Marshall joined Wolf Popper in 2003 following four elected terms as Treasurer of the State of Mississippi, where he oversaw billions in public funds and helped launch lasting financial literacy and consumer education initiatives. He brought that same public-minded approach and depth of experience to his work at Wolf Popper, where he served as a trusted advisor and colleague for more than two decades.

Throughout his time at the firm, Marshall’s perspective was shaped by a career spent strengthening public institutions and protecting consumers. Prior to joining Wolf Popper, he held senior roles in law and government, including leading consumer fraud enforcement efforts and serving in appointed leadership positions focused on accountability and reform.

Marshall’s work has been widely recognized at the national level. His honors include being named the nation’s most outstanding State Treasurer, receiving multiple Distinguished Service Awards, and his recent induction into the NASACT (National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers, and Treasurers) Hall of Fame.

Wolf Popper is deeply grateful for Marshall’s 22 years of service to the firm and the values he brought to his work every day. We wish him all the best in his retirement.
