Pedro is an attorney with 10 years of experience, primarily in the areas of Corporate Law, Taxation and Government Affairs. Until recently he was the Administrator of Puerto Rico’s largest public pension plan, where he managed a portfolio of $2.5 billion in assets. During his tenure, Pedro oversaw investments in private equity and local start-up funds. Prior to that, he served as an advisor to the Governor of Puerto Rico where he led policy initiatives aimed at increasing regional trade and commercial airline service to Puerto Rico.
Pedro obtained his BBA in Finance and J.D. from the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras Campus. He later obtained an LL.M in Corporate, Banking and Financial Law from Fordham University in New York. He also taught Corporations and Business Associations at the Catholic University School of Law in Ponce. He’s also part of Columbia University’s MBA Class of 2019. He’s admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (state and federal), the District of Columbia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Naturally, he is fluent in both Spanish and English. He is also able to read Portuguese.
